It is easier to learn a foreign language at the same time with the mother tongue before the age of six. Foreign language acquisition at an early age also affects the mental process positively. When a child learns a foreign language, it not only develops command of mother tongue but also contributes to understanding and evaluating people in other countries.
Learning a new language enhances a child's intellectual development. Our bilingual language environment offers a taste of other cultures to make them global citizens one day.
With respect to children's language development, children at the age of three can start to play with words and have a vocabulary of up to 900-1000 words. At the age of four, they ask a lot of questions using a vocabulary of 1500-2000 words and form more complicated sentence structures. By the age of 5-6, children learn 90% of the grammar rules. They start expressing their feelings and they have a vocabulary of 2-3 thousand words to converse and a vocabulary of 20-24 thousand to understand.
The classes are arranged as half-day mother tongue and half-day foreign language classes. Students are exposed to foreign language in these classes and the 'Language Coaches' at every class level help them develop their language skills.
